The laughing husband [collection] : a musical play in three acts / music by Edmund Eysler and Jerome Kern ; lyrics by Harry B. Smith and Arthur Wimperis. 1913.

Arranged in three groups: I. Scores (12). II. Vocal scores (3). III. Orchestra parts (58). The scores are manuscript full scores for the numbers composed by Kern for Eysler's musical comedy, including the overture, opening of Acts II and III and the songs "You're here," "Take a step," "Away from thee," "Mattchich," "Love is like a violin," "Tango Eduard," "Bought and paid for," and "Quartette and tango." All carry Kern's name and the indication "scored by Frank Saddler", and are probably Saddler's autograph copies. Vocal scores include two copies published by Enoch & Sons, London (c1913, pl. no. E. & S. 4505), both of which are incomplete. A third vocal score consists of individual unbound manuscript numbers. Five of the numbers are presumably Eysler's, while the remainder are Kern's contributions (two of which bear his signature). The orchestra parts are in five sets and are all manuscript. Sets 1-3 are for the number "Don't you want a paper, honey?" by Kern. Set four consists of parts for separate numbers contained in folders and carries the stamp of Charles Frohman, N.Y. Set five consists of one folder of parts for the number "Waltz quartett."
